Jose Roberto B Martins

J. Roberto Martins chairs the Projects Group. Mr. Martins is recognized by Chambers & Partners and Latin Lawyer as a leading lawyer in the Energy & Natural Resources areas in Brazil. Since the 1990s, he has been leading major privatizations, concessions, mergers, acquisitions and greenfield development projects in the power, natural gas and infrastructure industries in Brazil. Mr. Martins joined the Firm in 1993 and became a partner in 2001.

Practice Focus

Mr. Martins advises on mergers, acquisitions, divestments, privatization and postprivatization deals involving major Brazilian energy and infrastructure companies.He also practices corporate and administrative law and works on public-private partnerships, as well as transportation, water and basic sanitation projects.
