New antidumping review regarding truck/bus tires
In brief
Brazil’s Foreign Trade Secretariat (SECEX) initiated the review of the antidumping measures applied to Brazilian imports of new rubber truck and bus tires, of radial construction, with rim sizes of 20″, 22″, and 22.5″, designed for use with or without inner tubes (NCM 4011.20.90), originating from China, South Korea, Japan, and Thailand.
The product under review also includes truck and bus tires mounted on wheels (and possibly accompanied by other accessories such as inner tubes, flaps, and valves) or accompanied by wheels, parts, or accessories (marketed in kits but not assembled).
The investigation may result in the extension of the antidumping duty for an additional five years, thereby maintaining the cost of Brazilian imports of the product at higher levels.
The importance of stakeholder participation
The active participation of importers, exporters, and any other interested parties in the investigation may be decisive in ensuring a final determination that is more favorable to the party concerned. Interested parties may request their admission to the proceeding by April 10, 2026, provided that they demonstrate the extent to which they would be affected by a possible extension of the duty.

- Deadline for replying to the Exporter’s Questionnaire: 30 days as of acknowledgment of receipt (presumed to be 7 days after the date of electronic transmission by the authority).
As a general rule, a public interest assessment may only be requested after the conclusion of the trade remedies investigation, as established by SECEX Ordinance No. 282/2023.
