Update – Pay Transparency Report – First half of 2026
In brief
On February 12, 2026, the Ministry of Labor and Employment (“MTE”) announced the deadline for submitting complementary information and publishing the Pay Transparency and Remuneration Criteria Report, for the first half of 2026.
In more detail
Companies with 100 or more employees have until February 28, 2026 to submit the data that will comprise the report. The document will be made available by MTE as of March 16, 2026, on the Emprega Brasil website, and must be disclosed by the companies on their websites, social media, or similar communication channels, ensuring broad disclosure to employees and the general public, by March 31, 2026. In addition to publication, it is essential to keep records proving effective disclosure, such as screenshots, active links, or other evidence demonstrating compliance with this obligation.
Meeting this deadline is crucial, as the MTE has adopted a stricter approach to enforcing Law No. 14,611/2023. This trend is evident both in the fines already imposed for non-compliance with the Equal Pay Law and in the new requirement to provide in the official system either the electronic address or an uploaded image of where the Report was published, to facilitate inspections.
