National Agreement for the take-back of Electronics is executed

Yesterday it was executed the National Agreement for the take-back of Electronics and their components, which establishes standards and regulations for the implementation of electronic products and their components take-back system. This system will be implemented regardless of the public services related to solid waste management.
The parties of the Sector Agreements are companies associated with ABINEE – Brazilian Association of Electrical and Electronics Industry, ABRADISTI – Brazilian Association of Electrical and Electronic Industry and ASSESPRO NACIONAL – Federation of Associations of Brazilian Information Technology Companies. GREEN-Eletron and the Ministry of Environment are also part of the agreement. According to the MMA, this agreement should reach in the next years the 400 largest Brazilian municipalities, reaching up to 60% of the Brazilian population.
