Trench Rossi Watanabe announces Gustavo Biagioli as chief compliance officer and legal director

The executive, who is well known in the market, starts his role as the director of legal and compliance of the Brazilian firm

Trench Rossi Watanabe, one of the most prominent law firms in Brazil, announces Gustavo Biagioli as chief compliance officer (CCO) and legal director. The executive assumes the position as of this month, with the aim of continuing to constantly improve the office’s compliance processes and contribute to a strategy based on seriousness, respect and ethics. To meet this challenge, Gustavo will act with the support of executive leadership, guided by the principles of good corporate governance.

Gustavo has more than 20 years of experience in Brazil and other Latin American jurisdictions, having worked in renowned companies and law firms such as Demarest Advogados, JLL (Jones Lang Lasalle), RR Donnelley, Software AG and Hewlett-Packard, as well as major institutions such as Insper and Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie as a visiting professor.

He holds a law degree from PUC Campinas, an Executive MBA with a focus in Finance and Corporate Law from FGV (Fundação Getúlio Vargas), and a certificate in International Strategic Business Leadership from Ohio University. He is also a cofounder of “Jurídico Sem Gravata,” a recognized group of leading legal executives.
