01/10/2026

In brief

By determination of the Brazilian Foreign Trade Secretariat (SECEX), an antidumping investigation was initiated on Brazilian imports of 2-ethylhexyl acrylate (2-EHA) originating in China, classified under subitem 2916.12.40 of the NCM. The product is an acrylic monomer widely used in the manufacture of adhesives, labels, paints, varnishes and other special polymers.

The investigation may affect importers, producers, exporters, distributors, retailers and users of the product, especially in the agricultural and civil construction sectors.

The investigation may result in the imposition of antidumping duties for a period of five years, extendable, increasing the cost of Brazilian imports of the investigated product.

The importance of stakeholder participation

The active participation of importers, exporters and any other interested parties in the investigation can be decisive in ensuring a final determination more favorable to the interested party in question. Interested parties may request their admission to the process until 10/19/2026* provided that they demonstrate the degree to which they may be affected by the possible extension of the duty.

  • Deadline for response to the Importer’s Questionnaire: 30 days from the acknowledgment of receipt
  • Deadline for response to the Exporter’s Questionnaire: 30 days from the acknowledgment of receipt
