In brief
By determination of SECEX, an antidumping investigation was initiated on Brazilian imports of seamless, refillable, high-pressure steel cylinders with circular section (NCM 7311.00.00) originating in China.
The product investigated comprises seamless, refillable, circular-section steel cylinders intended for the storage or transport of compressed or liquefied gases under high pressure. The cylinders can be sold individually or in sets, empty or full, with or without collar, helmet or valve.
Among the main applications are the packaging and transportation of industrial, medical and special gases, including oxygen, nitrogen, argon, helium, hydrogen, carbon dioxide, nitrous oxide, ammonia and chlorine.
Excluded, among others, CNG cylinders, disposable containers, separately imported accessories, low-pressure welded cylinders, composite cylinders, large stationary tanks and cryogenic vessels.
The investigation may result in the imposition of antidumping duties for a period of five years, extendable, increasing the cost of Brazilian imports of the investigated product.
