In brief

By determination of SECEX, an antidumping investigation was initiated on Brazilian imports of tempered glass for use in hot and wet appliances (NCM 7007.19.00) originating in China.

The product investigated is defined as tempered glass intended for appliances of the hot and wet lines. It includes, among others, glass for stoves, ovens, hoods, cooktops, washing machines or dryers and dishwashers, such as lids, tables, internal and external glass of ovens, panels and structures.

Glass for the furniture sector or glass for cold line appliances are excluded from the scope of the investigation.

The investigation may result in the imposition of antidumping duties for a period of five years, extendable, increasing the cost of Brazilian imports of the investigated product.
