CETESB will receive the Annual Declaration of Solid Wastes in electronic format.

On January 6, 2020, CETESB (Environmental Company of the State of Sao Paulo) published a media release informing that, as of 2020, the Annual Declaration of Solid Wastes should be filed via digital form available in its website.

According to the release, all the procedure will be filed via internet without the need to go to CETESB’s Regional Environmental Agencies. After the confirmation that CETESB received the declaration, the interested party will receive an e-mail with the evidence. The generators, transporters and receiving units of solid wastes must file their Annual Declarations until January 31 of each year regarding the activities of the previous year.

If the declaration is not filed within the deadline, the interested party might be subject to the penalties listed in State Decree No. 54,645/2009.
